Our planet has limited resources; its natural reserves are drying up rapidly due to continuous and thoughtless production and consumption processes. Billions of people around the world produce tonnes of waste on a daily basis thus harming inhabitable land, polluting water supplies, disrupting the balance of essential atmospheric gases and leading to the loss of healthy soil to which mankind owes its agricultural production. Today we are rapidly witnessing the harm and irreversible consequences of our behaviour. A sustainable environment is possible only through an all-encompassing awareness of the importance of protecting our ecosystem. We can reach this goal with the help of projects developed to share knowledge and guide others to take quick and decisive steps. As The Sofa Hotel and Resorts, we are dedicated to protecting the environment by executing the highest level of awareness in all aspects of our business practices. Our “clean production, clean consumption” policy stems from the principle of not polluting the source to begin with. We aim to contribute to the economy by separating and recycling used materials and wastes, using modern energy/water-saving technologies, and continuously controlling waste water discharge standards. We take special care in training ourselves in order to minimize the environmentally harmful effects of chemicals required for cleaning, disinfection and other purposes. We aim to further develop our in-house training system to provide up-to-date information and improvement opportunities for sustainable living and environmentally correct practices while developing and supporting environment-related NGOs in their projects. As the staff and management of The Sofa Hotel and Resorts, we are dedicated improving and preserving the natural balance of our one and only planet.

Located on the top floor of The Sofa, Frankie Istanbul is one of Istanbul’s finest dining experiences, offering an elegant and vibrant ambience, gracious service and an exciting mix of innovative Mediterranean cuisine and local flavours. The restaurant includes a stylish bar, a lounge area with daily DJ performances, a stage that accommodates live acoustic performances and a separate smoking lounge with spectacular city views. The impressive wine cellar on the second floor has many fine international vintages as well as a very wide range of local wine producers.
